We are seeking an experienced and capable Resident Engagement & Wellbeing Manager to provide strong leadership, oversight and continuous improvement of meaningful daily living and resident engagement across our residential aged care services.
This is a hands on management role for a values led leader who can balance visible presence with accountability, coach and support teams, and ensure engagement practices are consistent, compliant and genuinely enriching for residents.
About the Role Reporting operationally to the General Manager, and working in close partnership with other leaders across the site and organisation, this role has responsibility for leading people, shaping practice and strengthening systems that support resident wellbeing and meaningful engagement. You will:
- Lead, oversee and continuously improve resident engagement and wellbeing across residential homes
- Provide direct line management and professional leadership to Lifestyle (Living Well) team members
- Set clear expectations, support capability development, and have lead responsibility for engagement quality and practice standards
- Maintain a visible presence, modelling best practice, supporting teams and contributing hands on where appropriate
- Embed residents’ identity, preferences, culture and life history into everyday living and routines
- Lead the implementation and governance of Higher Everyday Living Fee (HELF) services with input into the development and continuous improvement of HELF funded services.
- Ensure engagement and meaningful daily living practices align with the Aged Care Act and Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
- Use feedback, observation and data to drive consistency, improvement and audit ready practice
About You You are a confident and compassionate people leader who brings both warmth and clarity. You are comfortable supporting teams closely while holding clear standards and expectations. You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading the delivery of resident engagement, lifestyle or wellbeing programs in residential aged care or similar settings
- Proven people management experience, including coaching, supervision and workforce development
- A strong understanding of person-led care, meaningful daily living and resident wellbeing
- An understanding of the new Rights Based Aged Care Act, Strengthened Quality Standards and Higher Everyday Living Fee (HELF) arrangements (or the ability to quickly build this capability)
- Experience leading teams in complex, regulated environments
- Strong communication, coaching and relationship building skills
- A genuine commitment to dignity, choice, accountability and resident wellbeing
